Trauma Therapy

My approach to trauma therapy is grounded in understanding the deep impact trauma has on both the mind and body. I use a blend of evidence-based techniques, including EMDR, Ego-State Therapy, and relational therapy, to create a safe, supportive environment for healing. Together, we’ll work through a three-pronged approach to trauma recovery:

  1. Stabilization and Safety
The first stage focuses on creating a sense of safety and stability. This may involve learning coping skills to manage emotional distress, regulate the nervous system, and establish grounding techniques. During this phase, we also work to strengthen your sense of self and build trust in the therapeutic relationship.

  2. Processing the Trauma
Once stability is established, we begin to address and process the traumatic memories and their emotional impact. Using techniques like EMDR and parts work, we’ll work to reprocess distressing memories, helping you gain insight, reduce triggers, and shift the emotional charge attached to those experiences.

  3. Integration and Growth
The final stage focuses on integrating your healing into daily life, creating new patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. This phase helps you reconnect with your authentic self, heal from past wounds, and cultivate resilience, allowing you to move forward with greater emotional freedom and well-being.

Throughout the entire process, my role is to walk alongside you in a compassionate, collaborative way, tailoring our work to your unique needs and pace.
