My Approach

In my therapeutic approach, I integrate an understanding of how trauma impacts the brain and body. By exploring these connections, I can help you unravel the complexities of your experience, empowering you to reclaim control over your mental and physical well-being. I also greatly emphasize the importance of cultivating compassion for ALL parts of self to nurture a sense of self-acceptance and understanding.

MODALITIES

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy helps individuals process distressing memories. It involves bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or taps, while recalling traumatic memories, helping to reduce their emotional impact and promote healing. EMDR is effective for treating trauma, PTSD, and other anxiety-related disorders by facilitating adaptive processing of traumatic memories and fostering emotional resilience.

EMDR

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a form of therapy that helps people learn skills to manage emotions, improve relationships, and cope with distress. It combines techniques from cognitive therapy, mindfulness, and dialectical philosophy to promote emotional regulation and well-being.

DBT

Ego State Therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach that explores and works with different parts, or "ego states," of an individual's personality. It aims to identify and integrate these states to promote self-awareness, healing, and personal growth. By understanding and addressing these different aspects of oneself, individuals can gain insight into their behaviors, emotions, and relationships, leading to greater wholeness and well-being.
